The Centre has applied for this money to run an accredited training course for disabled and/or disadvantaged, local, young people over the summer to help improve their skills, confidence, employability and to encourage them into life-long volunteering and/or education. The course will be aimed at young people not in employment or education and who would not normally engage in this sort of activity.
Centre Manager Claire Pitt said “This money would enable us to expand the great work we already do with children and young people in the Teesside area. We expect our wonderful horses and ponies to work their magic and for these young people to experience the therapeutic benefits that learning through the medium of horses brings.”
